Principles for a good life
Project management

We have small or large projects in almost all areas of life.
What exactly is a project? This is a one-time venture to create a unique service or product. A definition I like more is an organized effort to lead change.
Sounds exploding, but any effort that is beyond our routine, taking more than a day or two, can be defined as a project.
For example: a project to design a room, a project to build a shelving unit, a project to design a garden, a project to organize a birthday, a project to build a website, a project to sew a costume ...
For a project to be successful, and especially if it involves more than one person, orderly steps are needed to ensure its success. For example, setting project goals, or building a work plan.
During the 20 years I worked in high-tech, I was part of projects, whether as an engineer, team manager or project manager. In a place like this, where hundreds of employees have to be synchronized towards one common goal, there is no way to run without an orderly methodology of project management and planning. But these principles can be taken and applied to smaller projects that involve fewer people.
On my site you will find quite a few such projects which are actually quite complicated productions for special events for example. I treated each such event as a project, and since most of them involved a lot of people in both the planning and execution phase, it was necessary to manage the process in an orderly manner. You will see that in almost every such event I have attached an organization file, sometimes Excel, sometimes Xmind, and sometimes just a Word file in the simpler cases. It helped me keep track of the status of all the stages, see what needed to be done when, and who, and make sure nothing was missing on the day of the event itself.
And it should be remembered that with every planning, there is room for changes and improvisations, for dealing with change on another page ...
In the side presentation you will find the stages of the project (for both at home and at work), and practical tools that will help to plan and execute the projects effectively.
