Anticancer - A New Way of Life - Dr. David Servan-Schreiber
Natural healing
Natural healing means that the body heals itself. But in fact it is the only form of cure, because medicine does not really cure, it allows conditions for healing, or suppresses the symptoms. The simplest example is a fracture: the doctor fixes the injured limb to allow healing, but the healing of the bone is done by the body.
Of course the body does not always manage to heal itself, and there are several reasons for this. Sometimes we just interfere with it: treat the symptom and try to suppress it (for example when you lower the fever with a drug, you disable the body's own mechanism to fight the virus or the bacterium itself). Sometimes the immune system, which is responsible for healing, is not strong enough to fight. Sometimes it takes the immune system time to "learn" or recognize the disease, and sometimes it does not recognize it at all, as in most cases of cancer.
Natural medicine is based on the principle that the body knows how to heal itself, and we must provide it with the optimal conditions to do so when necessary, and of course not to interfere with it.
Over the years, and my illness I have been exposed to several natural healing methods that all have in common:
-
A balanced diet to strengthen the immune system, cleanse toxins and provide high nutritional value (about this in the chapter on nutrition ).
-
Moderate exercise every day, forty minutes (about this in the chapter on exercise ).
-
Adequate and quality sleep
-
Shower in cold water - after a morning walk. If difficult, you can combine hot water and cold water alternately.
-
Breathing - Oxygen is critical to our bodies, especially during sick time. Deep breathing throughout the day, and expelling all the air from the lungs allows for fresh air exchange to the lungs, and strengthening the immune system.
-
Sun exposure - Most of us are deficient in vitamin D, and it is critical for strengthening the immune system. Exposure to the sun for 20 minutes in the afternoon between 12: 00-13: 00.
-
An environment free of toxins.
-
Reducing stress (stress) from our lives, relaxation, enjoyment of the moment, meditation.
-
Body-mind connection - healing wounds and traumas from the past.
-
Finding a vocation and self-fulfillment (about this in the chapter on vocation).
In the side presentations I will talk in more depth about how each of these things affects our physical health and the healing processes in our body.
Each of the links has additional in-depth material on how to do this.
For good health!
